Yesterday I received some new kicks from my family at New Balance! I received 3 pairs of dopeness I want to share with you guys. This pair right here is the 875 Trail boot collaboration with Concepts out in Boston. The 875 is a boot-like runner and it includes RollbarT technology in the sole unit. These are really dope and the Concept signature brown and red colourway makes it so sweet! (Shout out to the homie Frank The Butcher over at Concepts)

I also got another pair of 875 Trails but in “All Black Everything” I don’t think these ever hit retail…they were brought in for seeding purposes.

Last but not least I got another Concepts collaboration but the 1500…these are insane, the colourway again is so very sweet. Concepts really does a great job on their collabs.

Big Shout out and Thank you to my New Balance Family!

About

*Concepts and New Balance presents “The Freedom Trail Collection”

New Balance 1500 and 875

Boston-based New Balance announces the next collection from the brand’s Partnership Program –The Concepts Collection- designed and developed in tandem with venerable sneaker shop, Concepts, in Cambridge, MA.

Featuring two silhouettes from New Balance’s USA team, The Concepts Collection re-introduces the classic 1500 sneaker and launches the first-ever 875 boot.

Inspired by one of Boston’s most celebrated landmarks, The Freedom Trail, the collection pays homage to the shared importance of historic Boston as both New Balance and Concepts share headquarters in this New England city.

With a nod to the Freedom Trail’s red footpath and the brown brick of Boston’s antiquated North End neighborhood, the shoes came to life in premium brown leather and red accents.

The 1500 is a heritage New Balance style originally built domestically back in 1989. The 1500 was originally built as a fully-loaded technical running shoe. Specific detail executed solely for Concepts include: full grain leather upper, pigskin leather lining (more luxurious and breathable that a comparable synthetic product), and embossed tongue tag.

The 875 is a brand new style launched to the public for the first time via the Concepts Collection. The boot was designed for comfort and durability. The sole unit includes New Balance Rollbar™ technology for maximum support and stability. Additionally, NB designers used a PU Wedge in the heel (similar to the wedge that offers superior support in the NB 993) and compression molded EVA in the forefoot. The 875 features a full grain leather upper, pigskin leather lining, and embossed tongue tag.

With quality and durability a high priority, New Balance and Concepts pushed to maintain the same premium materials on both the 875 boot and 1500 sneaker. While the 1500 features a combination of perforated and solid suede with burnished leather, the 875 features the same combination of leathers with unique venting tick marks on the collar of each boot for maximum breathability. via

Here you have another preview of The Bruxe Fall 2010 campaign with a cameo from yours truly! It’s always fun to work with like minded individuals who share similar passions and interest. This was a really fun day and the shots came out dope. My homie Mr. Garcon shot some behind the scenes footage I will share with you guys and girls later. The only thing that sucks is that these bags are coming out in the fall which is way too far for my liking. I’m sporting The Marcus in case you were wondering…..

February 20th, 2010

marcus Troy for Bruxe fall 2010

My boyish good looks got me another gig with the fellas at Bruxe for their Fall 2010 Accessories and Bag campaign shot by Vincent Tsang of On and Beyond (joking about the boyish good look thing) This is just a preview…I shouldn’t even be showing you guys this, but the fellas tweeted it last night so I guess I am off the hook ( no pun intended) (inside joke) I believe I am modeling the bag called The Marcus, unless they change the name of it by the time they read this post. The bag is incredible and I absolutely love it, not because it is called The Marcus but because it is functional and very stylish for a guy like myself who travels quite a bit. I will be sure to update you on the details once more information surfaces about the campaign and the products.

My Life: My Visit to Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory (part 1)

February 15th, 2010

Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory visit by Marcus Troy

This was a crazy day and I can’t remember all the details but I will give it a shot. Chris and I were eating at TOAST somewhere in Hollywood and chopping it up with Gotti from Boo and Gotti Fame (R.Kelly’s boy) and I got a phone Call from my Homie, Hommy and he told me he was on his way to meet us. We drove back to Chris’s spot and then we headed to drop off some kicks to Tracy at the Fantasy Factory.

This is the giant wall and gate that keeps skaters from lurking and stalking the MTV cast.

Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory visit by Marcus Troy 1

We were greeted by Tracy who is the coolest guy you will ever meet! He is responsible for all the graphics, artwork and cool shit that happens around there (at least that’s what I got)

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 156

We took a tour of Drama’s new office! Ceck out the Young and Reckless carpet.

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 145

Drama loving himself and the giant poster of himself in his office!

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 120

Drama beat studios! I wanted to go in on the mic but…

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 133

To get into the studio you have to walk trough a cave! Seriously

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 17

The hands of God

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 16

If you look closely you can see me walking trough the cave ha!

Rob Dyrder Fantasy Factory part 13

So Rob was skating around in these shoes…They have never really been seen before, they are called the SOCIAL MEDIA BLUES! Why? Because Rob is a Social Media King and this shoe incorporates all the media platforms that he is on. Twitter, Myspace and facebook…pretty interesting concept. He told us that he loves them and needs another pair because he keeps skating in them.

Long day of skating…

The guys over at Microsoft dropped off The original Tablet table, I don’t think it ever came out. This thing is unbelievable, its like the ipad but on steroids and it is an actual table.

I have great video of all the things we did! coming soon.

check out Rob Dyrdek Fantasy Factory on MTV.

Big Shout out to Tracey, Hommy Diaz, Chris Lee, Drama, Rob and Kevin.
