With the first snow here, you might be thinking it’s time to put away your Vans, well you’re sort of right. While your classic SK8-Hi, Old Skool, and Authentic Vans may not be appropriate for winter, the footwear brand has taken a few of these silhouettes and prepped them for the colder temperatures. Following up last year’s MTE release, Vans has returned with a selection of apparel and footwear that ensures you can sport the brand all year round.
Our favourite sneaker from the collection is the Sk8-Hi Del Pato MTE, which melds the classic Sk8-Hi with the recognizable features of a duck boot. To make sure your feet stay dry, the sneaker is built with a Scotchgard-treated leather upper, while the interior is lined for warmth with an additional heat retention layer between sockliner and outsole. To keep the feeling of dampness at bay, there is a vulcanized lug outsole that also offers traction against slippery surfaces. Finally, a heel tab and a padded collar provides ease of wear and comfort as you go about your day.
