    My Life: How To Dress For A Montreal Winter -A Cool Guy MT Guide

    I don’t think I’m alone when I say that Montreal winters can be a bit frustrating at times. The slushy ground and constant change of temperature can make it really hard to keep dry & comfortable but also keep your look on point. I decided to put together a small guide of some of my favorite winter items to help you navigate through the winter days whether you are a native or a tourist. Keep in mind that this is a “cool guy” guide to dressing for winter! What I mean by “cool guy” is that you can look cool and comfortable without being bundled up.

    1. A good hat

    You need a functional hat that will ultimately keep your head warm, dry and comfortable but most importantly look great.

    I love my Canada goose fur aviator hat. It’s down filled with a coyote fur lining so I am warm, comfortable and stylish. Even though everyone in my city is wearing a Canada Goose jacket I feel great that not everyone is wearing the Canada Goose hat.

    2. Warm Jacket

    You obviously need to wear a jacket, preferably waterproof and extremely warm. The Montreal wind and snow can really hurt your feelings. I love my NSW lined Destroyer Jacket. It has a wool body and leather sleeves. It looks light but it is pretty heavy and protects me against the elements. On a nice winter day I’m able to layer a woven shirt just with this jacket and I’m great.

    3. Comfortable pants.

    I love these Ralph Lauren cargo pants. They are so comfortable and the fact that they are a light coated canvas it keeps the wind from penetrating through the fabric. The extra pockets don’t hurt either.

    4. Warm, Comfortable, Waterproof Boots

    Don’t get caught wearing sneakers in the slush and snow. Guys who still wear sneakers in the slush probably put their t -shirts on before their boxers. ha! I recently got these Sorel by Concepts in the mail and they are truly unbelievable. Frank from Concepts paid attention to every detail. These are awesome and they are extremely fresh. A wool body and rubber and leather toe details. I love the  continuity from the past Concepts collaborations and I can’t wait to sport these around town.
