  • My life: The Marcus Troy Experience – Cultivating Relationships #Imeet

Last night I hosted another Imeet session in The Marcus Troy Experience room. We discussed Cultivating Relationships. I wanted to hit home on why this is so important and I shared some personal stories  to back up my claims ha!

We are obviously talking about business relationships or people you would like to get down with. I believe building great relationships is an art and we have to treat it as such. We all have a wish list of people we would like to work with and I wanted to outline some ways to make that happen. We also talked about building and cultivating relationships with the people that come into your life because you never know what role they might play one day.

Last night’s we had guest from London Town, Baltimore, Toronto, New York, Portland and other parts of the world. People shared compelling stories about when cultivating relationships goes well and also when neglecting a relationship goes bad.

I believe relationships are like plants, you have to water them, take care of them and make sure they get the right light. When you don’t take care of your relationships like a plant they die.

I do however believe you can remedy a dead relationship (dead plant) it will require a lot of work but I believe it is doable. Sometimes you get down to the last leaf and sometimes that’s all you need to start the process over. Cut off the dead leaves, change the dirt and start over. Maybe the seed has a bit of life left to it.

Is a plant ever really dead? is there a little bit of life left when it is dead? I believe all relationships can be repaired if you take the right measures to do so.

It is so amazing to see so many creatives enter the room searching for inspiration, guidance and also wanting to share their stories.

    Thanks guys!

Thanks guys for being a part of it.
