Apparently if you want the best Soul Food in Atlanta there are only 2 places to go. 1 is Beautiful (in the hood) or 2. Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles. We all decided to go to Gladys Knight’s because my homegirl D, said it was a dope spot. As we pulled up there was a lineup and a cop outside which is always a good sign.
We all had Chicken and Waffles except IZ (he doesn’t eat meat) ( he missed out) and something called sweet tea with lemonade. OMG!
If you’re ever in Atlanta make sure you have the Midnight Train to Georgia (chicken and waffles) and the Uptown (drink)
The homie Hip Hop suggested I had the Sticky Turkey Wings…but I got his message too late. So you can always try that, I’m sure he knows what he is talking about.
Red Maven tweeted I should have the exact same thing that I was having! He must know his meals.
The food was great! At least we can say we ate Chicken and Waffles. Oh and the uptown is like diabetes in a glass…. so sweet.

This is classic! Right next to the restaurant there is this giant metal brick some of you may know it to be a parking meter. You have to literally stuff your ONES into this slot to pay your parking. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. I couldn’t believe it, after we stuffed a 1 dollar bill which should have been 3, I decided we shouldn’t pay the rest. Logically there is no way they can tell if you paid or not. Can someone please explain this to me. Thanks.
