  • My Life: How To Dress Like A Stylish Hiker – A Marcus Troy Guide

    1. You need the right headwear. It gets cold sometimes and you want to make sure you got the basics covered. The right hat can complete the look.

    2. You need a field jacket. I prefer a jacket that is in ripstop, it sure does wonders if you get caught in some trees. I love mixing functionality & fashion! This jacket also has a hidden hood, which is great for those wet situations.

    3. You want to make sure you are properly layered, staying warm is always key. You might want to put on a wool sweater over a another piece of clothing and a tee as a base layer.

    4. A watch is always key! You want to keep track of time. To maintain the look I suggest wearing a field watch with a ballistic nylon band. Keeping everything functional and stylish is a must.

    5. I really did not want to go all out and wear fatigue pants or something, so I decided to keep it casual with denim. After all, we are trying to maintain style integrity.

    6. The right socks are extremely important to finish of the look. You want to be wearing wool socks, they are warm, comfortable and make hiking boots feel so much better. Tucking them in is a personal preference of mine. It keeps your pants from dragging around or getting caught into things. Also it looks really dope!

    7. You want a great pair of hiking boots. Hiking boots are made a lot differently than regular boots, they lace up to protect and are constructed to withstand the elements of nature.
