I had no idea what to expect when we pulled up to this Elephant sanctuary…
We were greeted by this majestic beast. So beautiful & inspiring.
We were ask to feed them sugarcane
They were eating 5 at a time. It is a great snack for them!
They love being in the water. This is how they take a bath.
Now it was my turn to get on the Elephant. It’s not as easy as you would think.
The texture of their skin is so interesting… it feels bullet proof.
They gave us all this uniform to wear. It is pretty fresh! I told everyone I would wear this during Paris fashion week, ha!
Our next mission was to paint with the elephants. Some of them paint abstract while others paint lines or dots. So amazing.
We became friends.
Then we took a ride on our friends up the mountain. The elephants love to travel through the mountains, it is apparently relaxing for them.
We then took a bamboo raft back to the camp.
This was one of my favorite life experiences. The Elephant is so majestic and gentle, to see one up close it very magical. I think everyone should experience something like this.
Thank you Thailand & the folks over at ELE for the experience. #Travelwithus
