  • My Life: Converse Open Gym-Atlanta (day 2)

    IMG_2253

Joe and I woke a little early to make our way to the Palamour hotel to meet our friends at Converse who were taking a trip to the open GYM at Georgia Tech University. This is the Converse bus, can you tell?

We were greeted by guys in fresh I Converse ATL shirts (more on that later)

The facilities are amazing! There is a water slide inside this gym…pretty craze (word to RF)
I think what Converse is doing is pretty exceptional and I applaud them for these types of initiatives.

    Converse Open Gym

Creating a common place for youth to come together to play ball, Converse has been
supporting Open Gym events nationwide since 2007. Beginning this year Converse is
increasing its Open Gym presence in Atlanta by opening up basketball courts to kids at
Morehouse College and Georgia Tech throughout the year. Geared toward youth ages
12 to 18, the program gives all players, regardless of skill level, the opportunity to play
basketball. Since its launch, over 26,000 kids in Atlanta, Chicago and Philadelphia have
come out to play. Open Gym weekend activities also often include opportunities to meet
Converse athletes and other kids, receive customized product, get free hair cuts, eat
healthy snacks and discover other fun surprises. For more information go to:
