It has been seven years since the house of Creed has released a new fragrance and in 2017 – that streak was broken. The new scent, named “Viking” is exclusively for men.
In an interview with WWD, Olivier Creed, sixth in his family line to head The House of Creed and master perfumer, spoke about the inspiration behind the scent citing the “Viking man.” To which Creed stated, “In my mind, he is fearless, daring, lives life full of purpose and never settles.” He finished by saying, “Viking is for a man who “goes against the grain” and pushes himself in every area of his life, emphasizing a “thirst for discovery.””
When it comes to the fragrance, the top notes are of bergamot, black currant and pink pepper. While the middle notes consist of driftwood, salt, rose and fruity notes. It continues into the base notes which are ambergris, oakmoss, sandalwood and sea salt.
