    40.7269° N, 74.0070° W

"It was an opportunity for us to break the rules a bit, exactly what Cadillac should do from time to time."
    – ANDREW SMITH, CADILLAC HEAD OF DESIGN

If you have yet to see Cadillac’s latest concept vehicle, we are here to offer you a closer look. The Escala, which means “Scale” in Spanish, represents the culmination of design language of that the automotive brand has been successfully working towards. Their concept is undeniably aggressive, such is seen in the sculpted exterior that shows off a newly designed grille, sharp OLED headlights, and streamlined sideview mirrors.

Its low stance shows off the large 22-inch wheels with a never before seen rim pattern. Moreover, its noticeably larger than their current luxury flagship sedan, the CT6. When it comes to performance, the Escala is said to possess a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 prototype engine that will be implemented in future models.

The evolution continues into hand cut-and-sewn interior, which successfully fuses traditional materials like wood, leather, aluminum with a futuristic OLED dashboard. The screens will provide everything from driving conditions, vehicle performance, navigation, cabin controls, communications, and entertainment. Passengers will also enjoy personal screens as they are being driven around.

It has been noted by Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen that this isn’t an announcement of a brand new vehicle. Instead it’s a showcases elements of what is to come next and we can’t wait to experience it for ourselves.
