Aimé Leon Dore‘s collection for Spring 2016 looks to 1980s Jamaica, more specifically Reggae photographer and writer Beth Lesser who closely documented the rise of Jamaican culture during that time period. The thirty-six piece range presents pieces like trench coats, throw-overs, linen T-shirts and tank tops, polos, a cotton knit cardigan, short sleeve mandarins, linen pants, shorts, hoodies, crewnecks, an elongated bomber and coach jackets. The pieces are all constructed from Japan-milled fabrics.
One of our favourite pieces from the collection is the Shawl Collar Throw Over. It’s made from a comfortable cotton blend that features a soft interior lining. It’s a great layering piece that can be worn as a light overcoat and it can be dressed up for the right occasions.
