Wearing patterns is a great way to add personality to an outfit and the usual motifs we’d find in our wardrobes are stripes, houndstooth, and checkered. We recommend that you switch it up and take a few risks this season by picking up a shirt that’ll challenge the status quo. The designers from Thom Browne, Tomorowland and Lardini have concocted interesting variations of the classic pattern, and you can take a look at them above! The first piece is from the collaborative collection between menswear-savant, Nick Wooster, and Italian brand, Lardini. This button-down shirt is expressed with different striped variations throughout and it fits slim across the chest and arms. The second is a bold striped shirt from Japanese-label, Tomorrowland, that has been made in a regular cut. Lastly, designer Thom Browne has conjured up a handsome Oxford that matches stripes and colour blocking perfectly. If you’re unsure how to sport these pieces, you can layer them underneath a denim jacket, cardigan, or a casual blazer. If you wish to wear it alone, we’d recommend pair them with trousers or a clean pair of denim.
