The men who attend Pitti Uomo, a biannual trade show in Florence, dress for Pitti Uomo. That’s why what happens outside the venue makes as much noise in the menswear world—if not more—than what goes on inside. The entrance to what is essentially a convention hall has become a highly-watched catwalk for all things sartorial.
From double-breasted flannel pinstripe banker suits or aubergine velvet topcoats. It’s that wide—very wide—range of styles, from the impeccably executed to the that’s-just-a-costume-bro peacock that make the show’s street style so damn entertaining.
