Tomorrow, July 26th, the highly anticipated Ronnie Fieg X Puma XT-2 “Achromatic” sneaker will be released. The sneaker is minimalist in it’s aesthetic but the materials used to construct the shoe are far from it.

    The upper is features a velvety high-grade Italian glove leather that showcases a handsome natural grain. Continually, the XT-2’s silhouette has been re-patterend in order to replace the typical TPU components, such as the forefoot harnesses and lacelocks, with the same premium Italian leathers. All of this sits atop the XT-2′s comfortable honeycomb Trinomic-technology midsole unit.

    The sneaker is presented in a package that has been custom designed, which includes a tonal pig leather dust and lace bags. Finally, two sets of tonal laces come with each shoe, one flat and one rounded, both are finished with metal-plated aglets.

    Besides the amazing execution and exquisite materials, we appreciate how the sneaker is reasonably priced.

    As Fieg states “I am extremely proud of the execution of this trainer. Using Italian leathers for the uppers and linings and offering leather dust and lace bags as part of the package, it wasn’t easy to achieve the $180 price point. Yet, I desired to give those who deeply appreciate quality something they could cherish. I did not want them to purchase the shoe due to a retailer’s name, or a brand’s logo. That is why I removed all branding. This collection is for those who are interested in quality alone.”
