Review: Hotel Pur Quebec City
Last weekend I took a trip to Quebec City (3hrs from Montreal) to stay at the Pur Hotel in old Quebec. As I pulled up to the hotel I thought for moment I was in NYC or LA because of the exterior and design of the hotel was very modern.
During my stay I learned that the designers and owners of the hotel are actually from New York so it explained a lot.
The second I pulled up the customer service started, the valet was super polite and guided me to the reception where the lovely ladies took care of me.
I made some special request prior to my arrival and I was getting a little nervous about the execution and when I arrived into my room everything was there as expected.
I got in around 9:50 pm and the kitchen was about to close so the lady at the front desk pulled out a menu and allowed us to order from downstairs. I ordered the Steak & Frites and my signature glass of cranberry juice and it was pretty amazing.
After a great night of food and champagne I hit the bed which was extremely comfortable. The sheets were so soft I felt like they were massaging me as I slept.
The view from the room was pretty amazing, it was right in front of the church overlooking the city.
I stayed in room 1710 if you ever want to experience the same view and room.
The next morning after a great breakfast in bed I had a 10:00 am call time to meet with Eric Pouliot a devoted sales manager of the hotel. The meeting was set up for me to get a full tour of the facilities. Eric was super on point and took the time to teach me about the hotel and the surrounding areas.
His tips and information were very helpful.
I was really impressed with the hotel restaurant called Table, it’s super minimalistic and boutique like. They designed the hotel with community in mind, which is a reoccurring theme in my head. The restaurant was designed for people to interact with one another at the breakfast table. How cool is that?
The TABLE logo carved into wood.
I was really feeling the color story of the hotel, orange and cement grey is the color of choice.
Hotel Pur has one of the biggest indoor pools in the city. I had the chance to swim around and it was a lot of fun. I hit the sauna after and had a relaxing time.
What’s cool about the hotel is the full gym! All the equipment is brand new which is always a plus.
The next morning before I left the hotel I made sure I had the salmon eggs Benedict and the orange juice….. What a fantastic meal.
