Retail: Maison Kitsuné Filles du Calvaire boutique @kitsune

With its exceptional location, the space was designed like a villa, inspired by David Hockney’s Californian aesthetic, in which a succession of vast rooms are seamlessly linked to one another while remaining completely unique.
Upstairs on the boulevard des Filles du Calvaire level, two large, white beams traverse the length and breadth of the space with clothes hanging delicately upon them. This introduces a touch of poetry and levity to the boutique structure inspired by American minimalist artists, such as John McCracken and Sol LeWitt.
This latest location is Maison Kitsuné’s fourth Parisian boutique, following previous openings on rue de Richelieu (1st), rue Madame (6th), and rue Condorcet (9th) as well as two Café Kitsuné, one nestled in the gardens of the Palais Royal (1st) and another as part of rue Condorcet (9th).
