    It’s time to stow away your beloved sneakers and consider more weather appropriate footwear. One of our go to brands for this time of the year is Red Wing Heritage.

    The 8138 boot is one of the brand’s classic styles. The upper is an oil-tanned leather that is water, stain and perspiration resistant. While a goodyear welt construction surrounds the piece, this allows resoling and therefore allowing the boot to be worn for years.

    When you put on the boot, you feel the quality instantaneously. At first, the leather is stiff but becomes more comfortable with wear. The contrasting laces are sturdy and won’t fray. Finally, wearing the boots all day is no problem for us, thanks to the crepe wedge sole.
