Oliver Spencer Spring/Summer 2015 Collection @O_Spencer
Accompanied by the music of Rhythms of the City, British menswear brand Oliver Spencer debuted their Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
Mexican architect Luis Barragán motivates this collection. His creative use of light, form and space that reflect the spirit of a location; emotional architecture, connecting people, space and experience.
The fabrics that make up the collection have been carefully chosen for their texture and colour. The engineered sweatshirts and textural linen knitwear reference Barragán’s use of colour and textural contrasts. While weather-ready fabrics accentuate this season’s outerwear.
The colour palette makes reference to the primary subtractive colours of Barragán’s renowned Torres de Satélite. A spectrum of blues, house red contrasts against yellow, balanced by whites and lighter tones of beige. Black adds a sense of structure to the palette.
We particularly appreciate the new shirting shapes Oliver Spencer introduced. The shirts are loose with a relaxed fit and dropped necklines – perfect for keeping cool in the heat.
Standout pieces included the Buffalo Jacket in suede and cotton, Tote Bags in suede, the Barragán shirt with exaggerated length and the introduction of a constructed jacket.
We are looking forward to the coming Spring/Summer 2015!
