The shoe fuses art, design and science in what Nike calls it “the finest performance shoe.”

    “This is Nike at its best: we take the insights from a world-class athlete in LeBron James to inform forward-thinking designs and create the most innovative shoes,” said Kelly Hibler, Nike Basketball VP of Footwear. “We’ve combined the art and science of engineering in the LEBRON 12 to advance the game of basketball’s best player.”

    Thanks to the extensive research of Nike’s Sport Research Lab, the LeBron 12 is the perfect example where scientific data and analysis lead to the creation of next-generation cushioning, support and flexibility.

    Five visible, hexagonally-shaped Nike Zoom Air bags in the outsole of the LeBron 12 enhance natural motion while providing accelerated explosiveness with each step. They are specifically placed where Basketball players need them the most.

    Dynamic Flywire cables provide superior lockdown support, which improves the overall responsiveness of strength and agility. The upper is constructed for a precise fit, with Hyperposite wings that deliver targeted support and protection.

    The colourway that you see here is the LeBron 12 NSRL. It reflects the process of turning data into design to create this amazing piece of performance footwear.

    From October 1st to December 20th, seven LeBron 12 colourways are slated to release. Each are inspired by James’s game, physical attributes and the analysis that went into the development of his latest signature shoe.
