My Life: These Boots are Made for Walking!
I was splashing around NYC yesterday in and out of meetings wearing my newly acquired John Varvatos Converse Bosey boots. I started getting compliments since I left Montreal at 6:00 am that morning and I was not too sure what the commotion was about. People just seemed so enthused with these boots, sure I think they are super dope but people seemed to be really excited about them. I even had some people take pictures of them.(footwear buyers) So as people were flying into NYC for Market week and FFANY I might have influenced some buyers to tilt the pen a little to buy some more converse products. (Glad I can help guys!) I decided to email my homie over at Converse to get more info on these super dope boots and this is what he said:
“Hey Marcus, those are the Converse by John Varvatos Bosey Boots. They
are based on a shoe we made in the 40s during WWII. Back during the war,
Converse turned all its production toward the war effort and made boots
and shoes for soldiers. Over the course of our Century Celebration, we
mined the archives and found some original bosey’s. The team that works
on the Varvatos collection worked with John and gave them an upgrade
with of premium materials and construction and voila.”
Thanks guys!
