My Life: Beijing Day 1 New Updates
The fact that Beijing is under communist rule, we were not sure if they would let us into their country, especially because we were traveling with media Visas. I was pretty nervous about seeing this immigration sign, it would have sucked to travel all this way and get denied.
I guess we weren’t the only people trying to roll trough Beijing. The funny thing about the agent booth is that they have a customer rating button for you to press when your done your inspection.
It was a breeze, can’t you see Boyko and Jane look so please to have pass trough immigration.
We were greeted by Team Nike at the airport, pretty cool stuff.
This was the bus coordinator telling us to get on the bus. Look how serious he looks…
The trip to our hotel was about an hour if I remember correctly. We stayed at this beautiful hotel called the Regent, in JIBAO GA. Very dope! I showed you my room in an earlier post.
We were greeted by more Nike peeps who gave us the VIP bracelts to get into the events, hotels, parties and dinners, the funny thing is the rubber bands were not branded so if you really wanted to, you could have picked one up off a crab at a seafood store.
As we checked in we were given a very passionate letter about Nike mission statement and their involvement in the Beijing Olympics. I actually took the time to read it and even kept it as a souvenir.
Now back to the room to change.
Now I’m ready to rock! camera check, business card check, flash and lenses check, toque check.
Met up with some friendly bloggers faces, Eugene and Kevin from Hypebeast.
Adam from Slamxhype and Wood from Sneaker Freaker. Adam has the Leica digital camera I wanted, but he assured me that the Canon G9 is much better. Thanks for the heads up! (cool guys wear toques)
As we drove to the first stop on our trip, I spotted some interesting vehicles. Eddie Cruz from UNDEFEATED is quoted saying he wants one of these, I have to admit I want 1 too.
We went to district where Nike has their own spot, pretty sick!
BTW, Only Nike can pull something off of this magnitude.
Was this guy trying to get attention? I got my sniper scope on you homie! (just playing)
Crazy art gallery.
As we left all the galleries and stuff we walked back over to the Nike space where they gave us Ipod Touches with Nike content and pictures, wow some of the stories on their were so inspiring. (Jane I hope you can get me that audio)
There is the homie J from MTV listening closely and taking notes.
If you want to see more, if you have to wait for the full feature on wrg coming soon.
peace
Stay tune for more on Day 2.
