This past Saturday, I was invited out to Bklyn by the homie CJ for his first annual BYOB party. To be honest I did not know what to expect, I had plans to be in LA that weekend, but I figured I would push my plans back to visit NYC, to meet up with some people I only knew trough the “innanets”. I stopped by the Duty Free shop before I hit NYC to Pick up a few bottles of Absolute Vodka for the BBQ, my mom always told me to never roll empty handed.
I invited the big homie Malcom Pr and Karl to roll with the kid! It was supposed to be free food and liquor but I was not expecting a full on assault of wings, burgers, hot dogs and every drink under the sun.
I think when I arrived, there was about 100 people which quickly turned into 400. The food was amazing, the people were great and the music was on point. I had the opportunity to chop it up with some of my internet friends, some of them were exactly what I expected and others surprised me.
The big man on the grill 40 Diesel, p/k/a Drewpreme was a straight up soldier! For hours he stayed BBQ’ing it up for hundreds of hungry folks.
The brilliant Combat Jack!
The hilarious Dallas Pen ( look into his lenses!!!)
William Yan
Eskay rocking that new 10 Deep We Don’t Play T-shirt and homegirl Karen Civil
Most people stayed until the night came, I took the opportunity to flick it up around the city!
Thanks to Combat Jack and Dallas Penn for the great time and the invite. Can’t wait until next year…
Shout out to all the bloggers and people I met up with!
What made this event so dope was that you had the opportunity to match faces to names and meet some of your favorite NYC bloggers. Of course some people were on their super networking steez, but other than that it was just really cool to connect with some people. It was dope to participate in such an event.
peep some other coverage of the event
