Looks: Robert Geller S/S 16 #NYFWM
As soon as the models from Robert Geller’s Spring/Summer 2016 show stepped on the runway, we felt transported to paradise. The light and free fitting nature of the pieces, along with the flurry and wave patterns were inspired by the environment of the North Sea, a place he frequented during his childhood.
While the collection sounds nautical, it certainly doesn’t look so entirely. It’s a whimsical combination of classic tailoring with accents of seafaring. Standout pieces include, double-breasted suiting, rippling anoraks and reinvigorating duster coats. Meanwhile, the colour palette is both moody and vibrant.
