  • How To Look Your Best During March Madness

    29.4241° N, 98.4936° W

"The March Madness tournament is home to improbable runs by unexpected teams, but if there’s one controllable part. It’s your wardrobe"

Now that March Madness is underway, the thunderous screams and the excitement on campuses across the country are upon us. We are well aware that the tournament is home to improbable runs by unexpected teams, but if there’s one controllable part – it’s your wardrobe.

Should you decide to step out to your local sports bar or host your own March Madness party – you always have to look the part. Now we’re not going to recommend that you dapper up but we do suggest you refine your weekend wear for the occasion.

The first piece is a slim cut pair of sweats that are tapered at the ankles, like these ones from Paul Smith. We like these because they’re a refined pair of joggers that don’t make you look like a slouch. At your feet, you’ll be putting on a pair of navy VANS OG Classic LX Canvas Slip-On Sneakers. Like the joggers, you’ll slip into these very easily. For the top, an oversized checkered wool overshirt from Fear of God will complete your cozy but luxe look. Before you head out, remember, it’s still March, so you’re going to need a jacket. Throw on this olive green satin jacket from Fear Of God – it’ll break up the blues and oranges nicely.

For those of you who aren’t comfortable with going out in joggers, we put together a similarly easy going outfit. We’re not sure if you’ve noticed but wearing a hoodie with your nicest overcoat is a thing now. Think of it as a good in between looking sharp and casual. The red graphic hoodie is from Raf Simons, while the houndstooth overcoat is from Salle Privée. At the bottom, we selected wide draping pants from Our Legacy and a pair of Converse 1970 Chuck Taylors.

Let us know if these looks work for you and how successful your tournament bracket has been so far.
