    “Canon recently announced its latest members to the family, the EOS 500D/Rebel T1i. The addition to the Rebel collection, the EOS 500D effectively cannibalizes Canon’s other crop sensor camera, the 50D as it incorporates the same 15.1 MP sensor with similar ISO ranges AS WELL as offering HD-recording. While not on par with the Canon 5D Mark II, the camera does shoot 720p @ 30 fps or 1080p @ a reduced 20 fps. The camera also enjoys a nice 920,000 pixels viewing screen. The estimated street price when it drops in May is approximately $799 USD (body-only) and $899 for the kit which includes the EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens.
