December 1st is World AIDS Day and we want to turn the world (RED) to show that ONE COLOR UNITES US.
Our goal is to raise overall awareness of the issue and generate money to support Global Fund financed AIDS grants in Africa, the region hardest hit with this pandemic. To date, (RED) partners, including Converse, have generated more than $135 million for the Global Fund and this money has supported programs that have reached more than four million people affected by HIV in Africa. We need to do more.
As part of our ONE COLOR UNITES US World AIDS Day program, we will be turning cities (RED) across the country, turning Tweets (RED) across Twitter (literally!) and turning sales (RED) in pop up shops in NY, SF, Tokyo and London.
And, we’re reaching out to you to see if you can help us with our goal to turn blogs and online forums (RED). As a supporter of Converse (PRODUCT)RED, we wanted to see if you would be willing to speak out using your influential voice on World AIDS Day (Dec 1) to build awareness of the impact of (RED) dollars in the fight against AIDS in Africa. We would like you to see if you would be able to take note/blog about the issue and the impact (RED) dollars, including those generated from the sale of your shoes, have had in Africa.
If this is something you’re interested in, let us know if there is any information you need. Below are stats about the issues and the impact people are having through their support, and some of the products Converse is debuting around World AIDS Day. However, if you have other questions, need images or information, we are happy to help you.
