    MY FIRST MEMORIES WITH CONVERSE & NUMBER (N)INE:

    I was in NYC touring the Converse offices right before the first Number (N)ine x Converse collaboration and I was really impressed with the outcome of the kicks. Of course they were limited and for some reason I was not able to secure myself a pair and I missed out. I became very familiar with Number (N)ine when I visited Japan and got to really see the full collection.

    HOW I GOT THIS SHOES:

    My friends over at Converse surprised me yesterday with small package that would drive any sneakerhead crazy. We will talk about that later.

    WHAT I LEARNED ABOUT THE COLLABORATION:

    NUMBER (N)INE x CONVERSE Odessa was based on, Miyashita’s ideal for something “authentic and permanent” Number (N)ine unfortunately is no longer in business but this falls under his new venture called “The Soloist, Ltd.”

    WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THESE SHOES:

    They are extremely comfortable and I attribute that to the running outsole and silhouette. The elements of the shoe that I like are the clear gum outsoles and the tennis ball like treatment (deerskin) which has always been special to me, I’m not sure why I just love it.
