Fjällräven Kyl Parka @FjallravenUSA
Even though snow has not made an appearance yet, it’s not too early to consider your next move for a new winter coat. Swedish outerwear brand Fjällräven has readied the Kyl Parka for the season.
The 80/20 down filled parka is made to keep out the elements thanks to its length, while the Hydratic membrane moisture at bay.
The shell is made from polyamide with G-1000 reinforcements and the fleece lined fixed hood has a three-way adjustment, along with a reflective band on the back – the fur edging around the face is detachable.
We appreciated the functionality of the piece – two large top-loading pockets with additional smaller pockets attached, and two fleece-lined hand-warming pockets. Inside, there are two large mesh pockets and two inner pockets.
The finishing details are the two-way zipper with protective flap, Velcro and press buttons. The drawcord at the back of the waist and hem allow for an adjustable fit. Finally, the sleeve cuffs have Velcro adjustments and inner elasticated cuffs with thumb holes.
$800.
