Coolhunts: Nike Flyknit Puzzle Box by Ryan Ganders @Nike
Late last week we were presented with a challenge, a mysterious box from Nike arrived at the office. We discovered that the box was designed by Ryan Gander, an internationally acclaimed visual and conceptual artist from England. Additionally, the box is an updated version of a traditional hand built Japanese puzzle box.
The box was designed as a way to explore some of the underlying propositions found within Flyknit innovation. The puzzle box features extrapolated elements of Flyknit design set into mathematically precise, non-geometric marquetry.
There are only 144 of these boxes in the world.
Our curiosity peaked and we needed to find out was inside. The directions simply stated that we have to slide the moving walls in the correct sequence. Once we figured out the pattern, it all began to unravel and we were able access what was inside…

Thanks for the challenge!
