Converse First String All Star Chuck ’70 Down @converse

Converse has prepared the iconic 1970 All Star Chuck Taylor for the Winter with their “Down Jacket” sneaker. The design was inspired by the diamond quilted style of a luxury down jacket.

Inside the monochromatic upper is real Gray Duck Down, padded with an 80/20 ratio of down and feathers, the same quantity you would find in a down jacket.

The quilted nylon upper is accented with a colourful red-and-blue grosgrain lace loop running up the tongue, an elegant style element inspired by winter outerwear, and split pin stripe.

Finally, a micro suede lining ensures maximum warmth and insulation all Winter, while tonal eyelets, toecap and outsole add the finishing touches.

We are looking forward to trekking through the snow in these! It’s really exciting to see that they have winterized the 1970s Chucks to this extent.
