I finally got a chance to try these Rivieras canvas mesh shoes and I have to say I really like them. These leisure shoes are cool and classic which makes them a great alternative to flip flops.
-High quality mesh and canvas
-Padded leather inner sole for extra comfort
I’ve documented the hell out of Common projects over the years and you guys know I love them. I wanted to show you guys my favorites from the Spring 2010 season. If you are lucky you can find these on sale now because we are slowly creeping into fall season. The color combination and contrast makes this style really sexy. You can always count on CP to make a rich looking and rich feeling shoe that can be worn dressed up or very casual.

When I visited the Converse offices in New York a couple months ago I had the chance to play around with these Auckland Racer’s and I have to say that they are pretty amazing.
These are part of the Converse First String releases. This is a collection of very special, hand-picked silhouettes mined from the Converse archives.
Auckland Racer
Originally designed for running in the 1970s, the Auckland Racer carries a lineage associated with pioneers of the early years of the jogging movement. Today, it’s just a clean, simple silhouette using materials like reflective TPU and nylon mesh, often found in sport apparel from the ‘70s and ‘80s, but repurposed in a sleek, modern manner. The Converse First String Standards Auckland Racer shoes will be available this week and will come in low-top grey, black and enamel blue.
The Auckland Racer will retail for $80.00 and will be available in sizes 8 – 13
A couple weeks ago I was in NYC and my homie Ronnie Fieg gave me a pair of his latest collaboration with Clarks. These Clarks Desert Boots are really something to talk about, they are a beautiful matte black in nubuck. These are extremely lovely so they got their time to shine this past weekend at my local barbershop. These are available as we speak at davidz.com
Growing up in the West Indian community of Montreal the Clarks Dessert Boot was the uniform and a staple piece for the distinguish gentleman, Rude boy and Rastafarian. Back then they were made in England and I guess they were a bit aspirational for these young men. My father told me stories about his brothers doing anything to get a pair of Clarks Dessert boots. They were just too expensive at the time for their parents to buy.
This is for you uncles! I will wear these with pride Roots and Culture!
Thanks to Ronnie Fieg for taking care of the kid.

These Spring 2011 Rockport shoes have to be one of the nicest pairs I’ve seen from them in a long time. These are set to be released in Spring 2011 and I must say I need to have these in my life. The homie SQ was wearing these in New York City a couple weeks ago and I had to show you guys these great looking shoes. I love the woven outsole on the crepe bottom, the taping around the upper is a nice detail. The nubuck is rich and the waxed laces are just a great bonus. SQ was killing them in the streets that afternoon.
For those of you who don’t know, Rockport is a shoe manufacturer based in Canton, Massachusetts. It was Founded in Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1971, and was purchased by Reebok in 1984.
Please share your thoughts on these if you have any.
Do you wear Rockports? What has your experience been like?
I had the opportunity to wear these Timberland Abington Rugged Handsewn shoes this weekend and I have to say that they are pretty amazing. These are part of the Abington Spring 2010 collection which is at retail as we speak.

Thanks to SQ for capturing these beautiful pictures of the Marcus Troy & Ronnie Fieg Nexus Project Collaboration.
These were sent to me a few weeks ago and I’ve been sitting on them until I got the time to try them out. These are the Pallabrouse boots by Palladium. These look pretty good with jeans and look even better when they are scuffed up. The canvas and the laces seem to be acid washed so it gives it a very vintage look which is cool. The brand was founded in 1920 to make aircraft tires for the aviation industry and by 1947 they started a footwear company.

My family at Supra wanted to make sure I was right for the summer season! I really like the cleaner tone down silhouettes from Supra.
This is the Assault in a canvas which is simple but very classic.
The Cuttler is super sleek and fresh. I love the quality of the materials and the minimal branding.
The Cuttler also come in a cream canvas which is really cool for the summer. Canvas shoes are the just my shoe of choice for the warm days.
This is the Assault which is just so fresh in a Navy Gingham Woven.
The Thunder is a dope style in a ripstop nylon which gives it a great functional and utilitarian vibe. The Thunder is a summer injection and is part of their signature series for Jim Greco.
Last week Nike blessed the media (some of us) with the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse and others got the Hyperdunk. I believe most of us who got the Hyperfuse’s were really stoked. The Hyperfuse is such an unbelievable shoe. This weekend I played ball in these bad boys and they are pretty incredible!
