Trends: Fashion and Function

Fashion and function must work in tandem with each other when it comes to how we dress. By function, we don’t necessarily mean how many pockets the pieces have but by how it lives with us. For example, what it’s made of and the fit.

As we all know, layering is important for the colder seasons but at times it can sacrifice fit. Fortunately, there are a couple key pieces that satisfy both.

We accomplished this look by pairing a heavy rain coat with a down filled jacket. We included a pair of Nike Gyakusou pants for a comfortable but athletic fit – this ensures we are ready anything. The shoes are Vans OTW x Publish Brand’s Breton boot that is crafted from water-resistant ballistic nylon, which is great for the wet weather.  Finally, we accented our look with a pair of sunglasses and Armani Exchange watch.
