Ministry of Supply has seamlessly blended the performance characteristics of your gym apparel into the classic dress shirt. We recently sported their classic Archive shirt for a whole day.

One of the first things we noticed was the stiff collar and the cuffs, they were made using thermolamination technology, which essentially eliminate the need to iron or require the use of collar stays. Throughout the day they retained their shape and looked great.

Additionally, as we ran our hands through the fabric we were skeptical because it really felt like a something you’d wear at the gym. Once we put it on our skepticism vanished. We wore the shirt in their medium slim fit and it fits exceptionally well.

We also like the softly brushed interior of the shirt. It was very considerate of the designers to brush the inside, opposed to having the material even throughout.

The shirt is made from a blend of polyester and elastene, this helps with both freer movement and wick moisture away from your body. Furthermore, barely-visible, laser-drilled holes located at the underarms provided ventilation.

We particularly appreciate the shirt’s reliable wrinkle free construction. We ironed our shirt in the morning and it stayed crisp throughout the day.
