Gadgets: HP Designs A Smarter Watch With Movado @HP @movado

Engineered by HP is a program that seeks to innovate and change the way we utilize our favourite accessories. They have worked with luxury watchmakers, Movado, to design a “smarter” watch instead of a smartwatch. The timepiece itself is completely analog with the exception of haptic and LED light feedback that notifies you when you receive a notification. Moreover, depending on the type of notification, the watch will light up in different patterns and matching them with specific vibrations.

HP developed the software and user interface, and is providing HP cloud services for all of the brand smartwatches. HP also designed the app that allows users to configure and connect the watch to the cloud. Compatible with both Android (4.4+) and iOS (8+) devices, HP smart accessories will complement the styling of the world’s top brands and offer a versatile range of design and functionality.

In terms of style, Movado’s Bold line is used as the silhouette. The 44mm watch is water-resistant to 50 meters and is available in a stainless steel with a black PVD finish or all-black PVD finished stainless steel, and both have a black silicone strap lined with 3M reflective material.
