FENDI Showcases Their New Eyewear Collection With Jamie Campbell Bower

The phone rings. “Signor Campbell, a video camera has been delivered”
FENDI’s resurgence could not have come at a better time. The love for big branding has continued to reign supreme and the Italian luxury brand’s unmistakable double-F fits right in.
There are some items that are best worn under the radar. One of those items is sunglasses. FENDI satisfies this requisite with their new fall/winter 2018 eyewear collection for men.
To help showcase this new range, they have tapped actor and musician, Jamie Campbell Bower, to be the face of the campaign.
The visuals open with Mr. Bower, sporting a pair of FENDI sunglasses, in his opulent hotel suite in Rome, Italy. He had just been delivered a peculiar package containing a video camera. Upon turning on the device, the footage reveals that someone had been following him and documenting his movements throughout the city. In every scene, Mr. Bower is seen in a different pair from the eyewear collection.
This voyeuristic theme speaks to how we often feel sunglasses offer a shade of privacy when we step out into the public sphere. This however, does not apply for Mr. Bower, as his rockstar status is undeniable and he cannot escape the gaze of this unknown videographer.
The collection itself gives off a vintage feel. Every piece is delicately wiry and the detailing is well-appointed. You’ll spot FENDI branding subtly appears upon the bridge of the frames.
If you have yet to update or own a pair of sunglasses, we recommend that you take a good look at the images to the right. You may or may not be a rockstar but you will certainly feel like one with a pair from FENDI’s latest offerings
