This year’s mantra of “Feeding Your Life” could not have come at a better time. We decided as a team to eat better, live better and experience greater. We’ve partnered with #Vitamix to bring some of our joys to life. We also would like to encourage you to do the same. For 2018, it’s all about #FeedYourLife and we hope you enjoy this new journey we are about to embark on. Our first step to feeding our life is to watch what we put into our bodies.
We started off the New Year with some berry smoothies made at Cafe Troy. It’s a simple recipe made with the soon-to-be-released Vitamix Explorian Machine (you can get yours in February). We used kale, avocado, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, vanilla yogurt, honey and ice to make this magical smoothy we call this the “Berry Delight.”
After the holidays, we used a lot of the leftovers in the fridge to make a great soup at Cafe Troy. This soup is sure to be comforting for those experiencing the blistering cold weather conditions out there. We used our Vitamix machine to blend all the ingredients for this delicious soup. We used some nantes carrots, ginger, onion, garlic, salt, cayenne pepper, and 35% cooking cream. We then sliced almonds, chives, oranges, fresh cinnamon, and chives as garnish. I wished that everyone could have tasted this meal!
If you have a Vitamix machine make sure to give my recipe a try and don’t forget to register your machines at Vitamix.ca, so you can receive access to even more awesome recipes by Vitamix.
