It shows their love for what's true in hip hop and its roots. Back in the day timbs could hold you down for a long time. I mean I maintained and wore 1 particular pair for atleast a year and a bit? Its so nostalgic. And depending on how you look at it, it serves as the "hoods" Dr Marten. I'm getting myself a little collection. Reminds me so warmly of my nappy twists, astros jersey and rocawear jeans. But now I have a lil fashion sense to go along like that. Wheaties, here I come! They may have stopped being "trendy" for a while, but they are a simple, quality product and that's why no matter what the latest thing is, you will always be able to find somebody around rockin some classic timbs. plus I have a pair of the black premium 2.0's of my own and I think they look ill with some slim fitting jeans. Also, timberland has majorly stepped their game up in the past year or two with the leather earthkeepers and the boot company line. lastly, i would like to add that I think they need to make an all white scuffproof 6" premium boot with black eyelets, ankle collar, and black soles. that shit would go hard. timbs are a classic, always have been and always will be. I will be working on a marketing project for the VILLA a sneaker/apparel/accessories with stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio and New Jersey and we have samples of the wheat boot and have ran tests on them.
