Supreme has kept busy this past week following a major investment from Carlyle Group, which has purchased a fifty-percent stake in the skate brand. This has raised the brand’s valuation to one billion dollars. Now, Supreme continues its collaboration with the North Face on a new Fall 2017 collection. The collection consists of many cowhide leather pieces that have been made exclusively for this release.

The standout piece, the Nuptse Jacket, features a 700-Fill down insulation and comes in three colourways (Red, Yellow, and Black). This collaboration also consists of a leather Base Camp Duffle bag and a Daypack that are both fitted with 840D ballistic nylon bottoms. The Roo II Lumbar Pack is cushioned with a foam back panel and lastly the gloves feature lambskin leather with a shearling lining.

What we liked the most from this release is the prominent use of leather, as opposed to the usual tech-oriented rip-stop nylon. However, there is still a good melange of technical materials throughout. From a style front, the black and the yellow jackets are undoubtedly fly and look extremely clean.

These pieces will all be made available on October 19th online and at select Supreme stores.
