    On Thursday I arrived in Los Angeles and the good folks at Vans put me up at the Standard Hotel in Downtown LA. The sign outside was pretty unusual and very interesting.

    I wanted to get room 112 but it was not available. ha!

    When I walked into my room I felt like I was in the Matrix and I just answered the red rotary phone. The decor was super fresh, modern mixed with a little retro  minimalism.  (If that at all makes sense)

    To be honest I was not a big fan of the toiletries. I suggest you bring your own face and body lotion!

    The all white tiled bathroom with the flickering lights was kind of amazing. I wanted to film a short movie in there but I did not have the time.

    The bathtub was amazing! I took some great showers in this thing.

    The next time I am in LA, I am definitely staying at the Standard Hotel in Downtown LA. The entire hotel is very nice from the patio to the roof top bar and lounge. The rooftop is always popping no what time you visit, at night it turns into a party and is definitely the place to be. If you’re a guest of the hotel you get 2 bracelets per room.

    The parking is a bit tricky, keep in mind that there is 2 parking lots at the hotel. 1 is operated by the hotel who will charge you 30 dollars a day with in and out privileges and the other is cheaper but no in and out privileges. (your call)

    The restaurant is also pretty tasty for breakfast or a quick lunch if you don’t feel like walking around to find something.
