Finding a well designed and functioning boot is difficult in this modern time. Often the necessity for quantity overweighs the need for quality and, we might often get stuck with a pair of boots that are deteriorating at the soles. One brand that stands out for their expertise in leather work and overall build is Red Wing Heritage. The brand makes it their goal to deliver each boot with the quality that the working and stylish man will appreciate and love over a lifetime. They craft each boot with hand-picked leather from their very own leather tanning company in Minnesota.

Today, we’re going to talk about their 9072 Sheldon boot and what it means to wear a boot of quality build versus one made to meet demanded quantity.

The Sheldon boot was inspired by T.B. Sheldon, a businessman and admired citizen of Red Wing, MN. The boot was designed to be sleek and sophisticated but also strong and durable for the nine to five man. The boot is comprised of black cherry featherstone leather, brass hardware, leather insole and a steel shank, all built around a size eight last.
