PASSION!

I did not think that BET could motivate me, but it did while I was watching the Kerri Hilson x Kanye x Ne-YO video- Knock you down.

I could not help but notice the expression on Kanye’s face as he recited his bars in this video. You can see his eyes flickering, his lips quivering, the gesturing of his arms and the way he pounds on his chest. You can see that those bars probably derived from a real life experience, you can see the emotions on his face and that passion he put into those verses. I think the reason why Kanye is so successful is because he is so passionate about what he does and at the end of the day I think the fans see it and feel it. A lot of people get into “a game” for all the wrong reasons! People start blogging because they think that they are going to get free shoes from Nike, people start rapping because they think they are going to be rich, some people start DJ’ing to get groupies and free drinks at the club. I am sure there are some people who have gotten into a game for all the wrong reasons and have become successful but I believe that passion has to be the number one reason for success of most people who have made it. I’ve seen people get into something because someone else was in to it. They never had the same passion as the next person but they just figured they could do it too, but they failed. Kanye worked so hard for years to get to where he is today and I think his passion really led the way.

According to most dictionaries passion means a strong and barely controllable emotion, an intense desire or enthusiasm for something.

I think passion guarantees you happiness but not success in the popular sense of the term.

It is very easy to loose passion because of obstacles, but you have to remain focus and do things for the right reasons. Let passion drive you, let passion motivate you and let the passion tell your story. MT

I want to share with you guys words from Ralph Marston it is very powerful and touching. It elaborates a bit more on the things I spoke about.

ALLOW YOUR PASSION

When you are doing what you know you are meant to do, there’s no need to struggle. Instead of difficult or challenging or frustrating, there is simply DOING.

When you are merely interested, or when you’re following someone else’s dream, anything can distract you. Yet when you’re pursuing your very own passion, nothing has the power to stop you.

True passion is not a matter of gritting your teeth and forcing yourself to take action. True passion is allowing all your words, thoughts and actions to resonate with who you most authentically are.

There’s no reason to fight against yourself. Instead, allow yourself in every moment to live out those interests, qualities, longings, ideals and purposes that you value most.

There is a reason why some things feel right and other things don’t. Pay attention to those feelings, for they tell you who you truly are.

From your own beautiful, unique spirit can flow a wealth of goodness and meaningful achievement.

Feel it, know it, allow it and it will come.
Ralph Marston

I’ve been reading your blog since early this year and have not commented once but, I have always like what you brought to the table. Even though most of the fashion items you post are above my budget, it’s still nice to see that with a little hard work you can attain anything. I esp. like these motivational messages you post b.c it shows the type of person you are. Most people are so greedy to “take-take-take” but never simply give back….even if the gift is just a piece of advice. So thanks, you have honestly inspired me. & keep up the good work with your blog.
