This giant box was delivered to my spot yesterday and I had no idea what was inside. The box was pretty heavy and I don’t think the post man was stoked walking up those stairs.

I wanted to make a video of me opening up the box, but I did not have time because I had to pack for NYC. The carton contained a wooden box inside which would explain the weight. I get kind of excited when I see dope packaging; I also get excited when I see a number run. The box said 77 out of 100, which could be pretty lucky. I always wondered who gets the first or the last on a numbered run.

Could these be the Supra‘s that the “internets” were going crazy about a couple weeks back?

Oh Yes it is! The Supra x Spin x Stubb Collaboration. The wooden box came equipped with the Supra Skytops, STUBBS famous BBQ sauce( which looks super tasty) and a custom apron.

Great packaging and collaboration. From my understanding there is only a small run of the wooden boxes but the shoes are available online at Factory 413.

I got these super dope slim grey denim and white cords by Krew.

I simply love M-65′s and all military inspired jackets. Krew came hard with this piece.

Feeling Krew’s interpretion of the Cardigan. It’s a bit longer than your traditonal cardigan and the cuffs are pretty big. The picture may not do it justice, but when I tried it on it was super fresh.

About the collaboration:

The Supra team has something special in store for SXSW.  Many brands are sending troops to the annual music/movie/interactive festival held in our hometown of Austin, TX, but Supra is taking things one step further.  Celebrating the essentials of Austin, Supra linked up with Spin magazine and Stubb’s to honor live music and BBQ.  For those unfamiliar, Stubb’s not only has some of the best food in town but is a pillar in the Austin live music scene.  As central command for much of SXSW, Supra could pick no better partner for this project.

The Stubb’s Supra Skytop will release in a commemorative wooden box with a bottle of Stubb’s Original BBQ sauce and an apron featuring the 2009 SXSW logo. Only 50 individually numbered boxes will be sold live at Stubb’s BBQ Friday, March 20th from 10-11AM.
