Talk about a total miss-understanding! I was having a conversation with a customer of mine who I’ve known for many years and I was recalling a story of when I went to MIA skateshop in Miami about 4 years ago. I went in to buy some sneakers and the manager of the shop would not sell them to me since I was from out of town. I asked why and he replied, “Well I actually would want a local person to buy these shoes, a person who supports the shop and will wear the shoes and not resell them. The person would skate them and wear them into the MIA store while copping another non-hyped pair in the future. I want the hyped-up sneakers to stay locally so that MIA customers will be able to get a pair of kicks they want.”

I totally understood what the manager was trying to do. Keeping his loyal customers happy and certain product available to them is very important. The sneakers that I was trying to buy were the Diamond Dunk Sbs.

So Aldo, you totally heard a certain part of the conversation that must have mislead you to believe that I would not sell the kicks to anyone from abroad. As a matter of fact, I sold a DOPE pair of ZX8000′s and Air Max 1′s to a person who was visiting Montreal from Paris.

You might have also heard me say that I would not consider shipping the product or selling them online. I too believe in building the local scene here as a priority. There are enough online sneaker shops that people can use to order sneakers.

So, I apologize for any type of humiliation you might have felt, even though it was not intended. But please don’t judge me by saying I’m RICH. You don’t know me. I work hard for my money like everyone else.
