Friday I came home to a box from David Z’s. You know that shop in New York City that as been causing some ruckus as of late?

I opened the carton and I saw a red mesh covering a shoe box.

My hunch was right…It was a pair of Asics Gel Lyte III’s that the sneaker world was fiending for this past week. You know the Nicekicks x Ronnie Fieg Gel Lyte III’s?

Red Asics shoe bag.

I was taking my time opening up this box…I never saw these shoes up close before, so I was getting kind of excited.

_MG_8106

I still get excited when I see tissue paper…don’t you?

Voila! Part 2 of the David Z Asics Gel Lyte III trilogy pck. The Nice Kicks Collaboration!

I love the colour combination on these. The mixture of suede, nylon, patent and 3m is a beautiful touch.

These also come with 3 different coloured laces. (1 red, 1 white and 1 multi colour)

I usually never really try on shoes when I get them unless I am going to wear them right away. I could not help but try these shoes on. As you can see I was setting them up…Ronnie & Matt you guys are fools for this one.

_MG_8155

How they look guys?

_MG_8161

These look so dope!

_MG_8162

These are super fresh!

_MG_8168

From what I understand these are sold out everywhere so if you want a pair I think ebay might be your only chance. (unless you know Matt or Ronnie) I think these are super dope! I now have 2 out 3 of the Gel Lyte III’s trilogy pack and I’m looking forward to seeing the third.

A big thank you and shout out goes to Ronnie Fieg the architect and Matt from Nice Kicks for the love.

There was another pair of shoes in the box I will share later.

Click below to listen to Ronnie explain his inspiration behind the shoe and the upcoming projects.

These are crazy. I’ve never really been into Asics before – never disliked em or liked em, I was just indifferent. These go hard though.
