Drake is super official! Props homie! Oliver I see you!

I love the Dead Prez reference…

*Boi-1da talks over

“Me and another producer by the name of Al-Khaaliq…. He’s a dude that makes sample quality music that people think it’s a sample. Like “Over” sounds like a sample but it’s not a sample”

    I’m sure this will be taken as hate, but I’d probably rather bump the instrumentals then the full vocal track. I can’t say that this track won’t be explosive, because it’s pretty much better the 95% of the shit they play on the radio these days. Its just not really my cup of tea. Drake will def live up to all the hype around him, but I’ll pass.

    All that being said, if I can find a copy of the instrumentals, the DJ in me will be all over that shit.

    @marcustroy i respect what drake does, but you don’t think he’s over-rated?

    i’m with the first commenter..i’m a little bummed. personally, i love what he does lyrically, but i’m not feeling the music…I know drake has spoken about how he’s anticipating those people out there, that will immediately start hating on the new stuff just for the sake of hating, but thats not what I’m doing…i love drake, he’s T.O’s hometown hero…but I just wasnt take somewhere like I was when I played SFG the first time (and all the subsequent times)… with “over,” the whistful/dreamy nature of SFG music and melody has been replaced with this harder sound, thats closer to the “Forever” sound and although I love that song, I much rather the SFG mitxtape sound.. so maybe that’s why I’m not feeling this track- i’ll pass on this one too.but hey, its only the beginning…

    the instrumental track is fantastic. I love it when snare drum rhetoric is used. Drake isn’t always my favorite. some songs are great and others completely flop. I think i’ll give this a download. Drake is starting to grow on me.

    If people haven’t heard the travis barker remix of forever they need to check it out.

    Honestly the hook and instrumental are great, but not incredibly impressed with the verses.

    Well, I take that back. 2nd verse is good. Replace the first verse and it’s an amazing song.

    Think the idea of the hook is great. Beat is growing on me. Kind of agree with Emma when she said it’s not like the dreamy type of tracks he usually does. So that may be why the verses aren’t really growing on me yet.
