Did you know that coffee and cycling go hand in hand? This is mostly because the caffeine that is produced helps to fuel the riders as they clock in those miles. Here’s how the typical process goes they start with a strong espresso, cycle a few kilometers, stop, have a another coffee and then repeat. Although we aren’t hardcore cyclists, we spoke to one of friends who travels to and from work by bicycle everyday, and he appreciates a good cup of coffee just like us. For people with busy lives, it can be time consuming to stop and wait for your coffee to brew. With Nespresso’s Vertuoline coffee machine, all you need to do is turn it on, wait a few seconds, and pop in a capsule. In a matter of seconds, you’ll have high quality coffee that is ready for you to enjoy. You can also take it on the go with their travel mug.

If you’re looking for a strong coffee to start your morning we have three recommendations for you:

Intenso – This coffee ranks 9 out of 12 in terms of intensity, hence the name it carries. Despite this, you’ll enjoy its deep flavour and texture. The beans are sourced from Guatemalan Robusta beans and Central and South American Arabicas.

Stormio – For something that is slightly less intense but still offers consistent richness, you should start off with Nespresso’s Stormio. The flavour of the roasted Guatemalan washed Arabica and Nicaraguan beans blends exceptionally well with milk.

Odacio – This is one of our favourites as it is a great blend of bitterness and fruitiness. The combination of beans from Central America and East Africa lend to its full-bodied flavour that is accentuated with a hint of sweetness.
