Here you have the first look at the new DC collaboration with Hotel on Rivington!

You got to love DC for these type of initiatives!I love the all the all black shiny leather, the light outsole & the red strap. It is a great touch, so I might have to get a part time job at the hotel to get a pair of these. I’ve also stayed at the Hotel on Rivington and from what I remember it was a dope spot. Double win!

DC has teamed up with the Hotel on Rivington in New York yet again for a limited edition of the DC LIFE Admiral Sport. Produced exclusively for the hotel staff, This is the fourth time DC has laced the staff with shoes from the DC LIFE Collection (Sector 7, Dress Sneaker, Admiral and now the Admiral Sport).

The model has been customized with a laser etch of “HOTEL ON RIVINGTON” on the outsole, a design treatment that pays homage to the iconic side-wall bold DCSHOECOUSA lettering on the classic DC LYNX skate model that originally launched just over a decade ago now. The First release of the LYNX was in 1998 along with the announcement of Josh Kalis joining the team. A special red strap, a key color from the hotel, completes the custom shoe.

A luxury boutique hotel, the Hotel on Rivington collaborates with international cutting-edge designers to celebrate creative energy and create a venue from which the world can experience all of downtown Manhattan. The DC LIFE Admiral Sport for Hotel on Rivington compliments the staff’s Ted Baker London apparel.

The Admiral Sport is part of the Spring 2010 DC LIFE Collection and will be available beginning in January 2010 at select DC LIFE retailers and the DC Online Store at http://www.dcshoes.com.

“My vision and effort was to take the old DC and fuse it with the new DC. This is an on going effort you can expect from me in future seasons. The old DC is represented by the original NAVY and WHITE DC logo suede flag. For over 5 years now the DC Navy/White has been drop in exchange for Black/White on all branding and packaging. I took it a step further or should I say back with the bold lettering of DCSHOECOUSA that was on a classic skate shoe the LYNX introduced in 1998. Which had a decade worth of success for the brand. I felt this was the best way to take a new DC style the ADMIRAL SPORT and tell a story of heritage and evolution.”
