Sebago Marine Squall both

Sebago Marine Squall

Nowadays I rarely post what I’ve been wearing on my feet but I wanted to show you guys these Sebago Marine Squall’s I recently received as a gift. I love these boots, I’ve been wearing them for about 2 weeks straight since I received them. I really doubt you will be seeing these anywhere soon, they are a prototype of some sorts and possibly things to come from the heritage boat shoe brand Sebago. What I love about these boots is that they are premium rugged leather and they look like a Hessian or Wellington boot but with boat shoe outsole which is pretty fresh.

I submitted them to Complex’s twit-kicks last week and from what people have told me they liked them.

I would love to hear your thoughts?

Hi, I could not keep away as I see our prous style are on display.
Have to let you know that this style is called Hankö Boots, with style/article number B71751. It’s actually named after a small summer-house-island south of Oslo in Norway. This is propably cased by the fact that it’s been such a successful style in Norway and was after a while named that by people over here. Less known is it that it was made with a special and waterproof shrinked leather, also from a small tannery in Norway.
This boot has been out of production for some 8-10 years, but due to a consistent demand along coastal Norway we got it reproduced! Now we see Hankö Boots as our historic icon together with Docksides and as a real fashion statement! I see this as a super cool, relaxed boot for nautic days out, I use them just as much shareing a drink late night a a comfy bar.

Finally somebody outside our region finds this item, ang gets it! So cool, so not Uggs, but in the ball park, just not for saggy kids less than fifthteen!

Just wan’t to mention that it’s called Hankö Boots, not Marine Squall, after a small, exclusive summer-house-island outside Oslo, Norway.

It’s an icon from the late seventies, but together with Docksides, more a fashionstatement now.

It’s for those half clouded nautic days on or off shore, all though i use them just as much while picking up girls at a comfy bare somwhere around Oslo.

Very few of us know that it was originally made from a special, waterproof, shrinked leather made by a small tannery in rural Norway.

It’s rugged and sophisticated at the same time, great!

    Lars
