Before I touch down under earth I need to own a Polo Ralph Lauren leather bomber jacket. I see them every season but I just can’t bring myself to purchasing this piece. I find myself  gawking at this dope piece every single time but I just need to buckle up and make this purchase. I am absolutely positive that after a few months of wearing this jacket it will look even better.

Summer doesn’t seem to be coming this season and I think it is all good because I got a new umbrella! A few weeks ago I received this nice umbrella from Luxury brand MCM. A good umbrella should be an essential in every man’s closet. What makes a good umbrella? I think it is more about the style, handle and form. You don’t want an umbrella that blows in the wind. You want something that’s sturdy, solid with a nice handle. In this case my new MCM fits the bill.

You can just tell when a piece is well designed. A trained eye can just look at a garment and tell if the fit will be right. Good clothing is really suppose to fit you properly. A piece is just not a piece, yes everyone has a varsity jacket but not everyone has the right fit. Reigning Champ makes some of my favorite sportswear pieces. I came across this new Heavy Weight Terry Varsity jacket with the strip cuff detailing and it is really nice.

I’ve never had a better fitting suit than my Tiger of Sweden suit. It fits me like I was born to wear this ensemble! The best part of the suit is that I was able to wear it off the rack, no alterations needed. Tiger of Sweden just became my favorite suit brand. I need a few more of these suits in my life.

Nothing beats a man in a good suit.

Fashion has always inspired, especially people’s street style. Before the blogs, before the Internet, I was interested in people-watching and dissecting what people wore and how they wore their outfits. My earliest reference points of “street style” were my dad’s old hip-hop flyers and the cats in New York subways posing for pictures in the freshest clothes and sneakers. Later on, books from Jamel Shabazz and Martha Cooper popped up, capturing the true essence of personal style. The one noticeable thing to me were the sneakers these guys and girls were wearing: the Puma Clydes as well as The Suedes. Their choice of footwear always completed the outfit and made it stand out.

When I sat down with Puma to talk about our digital collaboration, I wanted to reimagine what that would look like today, capturing people in their personal street style only wearing Puma Suedes. Growing up, the Puma Suedes meant so much to my friends and peers. Whether you were a B-Boy, Skateboarder or just a dude who’s into looking fly.
