Coolhunts: Bowery Lane Bicycles – Broncks Black
January 24th, 2011
I had the opportunity to see these MADE IN NEW YORK Bowery Lane Bicycles and I’ve decided that I want one. They are built for the mean streets of NYC, for one they are hard to take apart and steal. The BLB pride themselves on no big assembly lines, no mass production, just quality bikes. They founded the company in 2008 with the goal of making affordable bikes in America that meet the actual day-to-day needs of the urban cyclist.
Broncks Black Our quintessential city bike fuses style, practicality and sustainability. The Dutch-inspired Broncks Black is clean and sophisticated. It’s also made in New York City with 30% of the factory’s energy source coming from renewable solar energy. It features a limited-edition classic sprung leather saddle, sustainable cork handles, chain guard, fenders, kick stand, rear rack and a hand-crafted wooden crate for carrying anything from a briefcase to a couple of six-packs of your favorite local brew (ours is Brooklyn Lager).
